The Prophetic Swirl...?

My life feels like a tornado.....in a good way.

I think. :)

Larry and I are in the midst of deciding what exactly this next season looks like for us. We sense that it is to be a season of delight, of springtime. What we cannot clearly see is what that looks like practically.

Should we stay in Kansas City? Should we go to South Carolina?

What's funny is that doors are opening and closing at such a fast rate (or seeming to), especially here in Kansas City, that I feel almost knocked over by the wind they create.

It's like living in a tornado.

But a pleasant one! It's nice to have options, even if they appear suddenly and seem to disappear just as suddenly. It truly is making me wonder if we should just be making a decision based on our own hearts as opposed to "logic" and "weighing the circumstances". Maybe one way or another we just need to step out of the boat, as it were.

But that is also hard as there are pros and cons on both sides. Oh well.

I just trust that when it needs to be clear it will be clear. I can just go along for the ride believing that even in the midst of this hysterical whirlwind, that really is getting so crazy I am starting to laugh at it, God will make His purposes, His Heart and His will clear.

The Valentine Tree

I have nothing deep and profound to say.

I merely noticed this tree in a Gardening magazine I got in the mail this week and thought "Cool! It looks like a Valentine!"

Having a tree like this in my yard would forever remind me of the love that God has for each of us. And how we can find Him through the beauty of creation.

Especially through a Valentine Tree.

The Beauty Around Me....

My friend Paige (see link to her blog on the right) wrote recently about beauty being God's anasethesia. I took the thoughts to heart as Larry and I are going into a new season and are trying to decide what God has for us as far as practical ministry goes. This is a bit of a painful process for both of us and I find my heart suddenly bursting forth in a longing for joy asnd for beauty. Things I have not encountered much in the past few years.

I have tried, therefore, to keep my eyes open for the beauty around me. Letting my heart peek out and find God there, for a change.

Larry & I were driving down Blue River Rd yesterday and passed the "waterfall". In spite of the fact that it is right smack dab in Kansas City...it does cause one to pause...and drink in God's Beauty.
